Congratulations to you both, you sure like to be busy and have lots going on don't you. An already thoroughly enjoyable and exciting series just got a lot more so!

Apologies if this is a silly question... But why didn't you apply the DPC membrane to the board that was screwed into the wall (the one from which the joists hang)..?? Isn't that subject to rotting the same as the ones placed on the floor?

On a small holding if you purchase one piece of kit it has to be a site dump truck. We bought our small holding 20 years ago and within the first couple of months we purchased an old 2T Wingut for GBP 500 and used it for 15 years. Sold it for GBP 500 and it never let us down. Replace it with a Barford SX3000. It has lights, is our wheelbarrow for emptying stables and taking the old bedding to the local farmers muck heap. It pulls the Ifor Williams trailer when bring in the hay from the field and the IBC water butts in and out of the field all year round for the rescue Alpacas, Horses, Goats etc. Goes everywhere, never gets stuck (I try very hard), is road registered and is better than a tractor. It gets into spaces a tractor and trailer can't. PS we bought a 21T Liebherr digger back in 2020 for no money. 9 liter six cylinder Air cooled diesel. It does not leave our land and does all the heavy lifting and digging we need as and when asked. People thing we are nuts but have had the last laugh on many occasion. Yes it is too big but who cares. The Barford SX3000 is invaluable.

It’s far too good for Grand Designs. They would be insulting you by editing it down to 45 minutes and putting restraints upon your build.. This is the best build I’ve ever seen.
